First Proper Post and a Site worth Checking Out: Puzzlin -- www.puzzlin.com

For the first proper post I'm going to take a look at Puzzlin which is a kids puzzles site you can see here.

Puzzlin contains a variety of classic kids puzzles like jigsaws and word searches. It's suitable for kids between 5 and 10, and features a variety of different kids puzzles. Currently it has jigsaws, sliding blocks puzzles, hangman, word searches, and word jumble.

The art style is toon-like and very happy and bright looking. The mascot is a little penguin who's shown in various places doing different things: he's pretty cute.

The puzzles are simple to use and don't require Flash or anything else installed to work. Mostly puzzles work on drag on drop or just simple clicking. Kids would be able to do any of the puzzles easily with just the most basic of computer skills (moving a move and clicking.)

It's easy to find your way around the site too. It takes maybe a few seconds from the homepage to be playing a puzzle, and when puzzles are completed, kids are presenting with even more to do based on similar themes and types. It's really easy to just go from puzzle to puzzle until your kid gets bored.
It's worth a look for anyone looking for kids puzzles.

First Post!

So, this is the first post on this blog. I thought I'd start with a quick summary of what I'm going to be writing about. This blog -- Kids Puzzles Blog -- will provide information about activities and puzzles for kids to do online. Hopefully it will be an interesting resource for parents and grandparents on sites to use to keep their kids entertained and learning online.
